Working with Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) is key to ensure an inclusive and sustainable development for all. OPDs represent the interests of their members with disabilities and have the mandate to advocate for the realisation of their human rights and lobby for the consideration of their interests.
Take a look around the following sections to learn more about characteristics and types of OPDs as well as some basic recommendations on how to work with OPDs. We definitely recommend searching the OPD network to find OPDs in your region.
If you are a member of an OPD, check out the section on information for OPDs to find some useful resources for your work.
