Diversity
Diversity seeks to recognise and promote plurality, reduce disadvantage and achieve equality of opportunity. It refers to heterogeneity, abundance and colourfulness and is closely linked to inclusion. Ethnic, political, cultural, ideological, age-related, sexual, social, intellectual and physical aspects are all factors in diversity. Originally, the focus of diversity approaches was on combating racism and the inclusion of People of Colour (PoC) in the USA.
