Equality

There are three definitions of equality. Formal equality refers to being respected equally, and that all persons irrespective of their background or characteristics are born equal. Equal opportunities is a process to ensure that all people regardless of age, sex, race, disability or any other characteristic have access to the same opportunities in life as others in the community and are able to participate equally in the public sphere. The third definition is de-facto equality where people have equality of outcomes.
