Leave No One Behind (LNOB)

The leading principle of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is Leave No One Behind (LNOB). It must guide all implementation efforts, across all Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is formulated in the introductory declaration of the 2030-Agenda: “As we embark on this great collective journey, we pledge that no one will be left behind. Recognising that the dignity of the human person is fundamental, we wish to see the Goals and targets met for all nations and peoples and for all segments of society. And we will endeavour to reach the furthest behind first.” The Leave No One Behind and the Reach the Furthest Behind principles are an important commitment for persons with disabilities who are very often among those furthest left behind.
