Marginalised groups

The term describes groups of people who have a higher risk of being discriminated and have less access to political and economic power. Marginalisation can vary depending on the context. Women and girls, ethnic and religious minorities, persons from migrant and refugee communities, persons with disabilities, persons from low income families and rural communities are some of the groups that usually bear a higher risk of being marginalised.
