Rights holders

The term is often used in juxtaposition to the term duty bearer. Rights holders are people who have all fundamental rights and freedoms, without conditions. These may be universal human rights or other rights and freedoms guaranteed by a country’s Constitution and laws to its inhabitants or citizens. People have rights and freedoms as an essential part of being human.
